My Grandma's life

Sandra was born on 11th September 1944 in Douglas , Isle of Man. Daughter to Ray and Jo and sister to Mike. Much of her young life was spent moving around the country due to Ray’s job, and she even spent some time in Egypt. Eventually the family settled in Blackpool and Sandra found herself working on the perfume counter in Boots, where she met a handsome young Italian and her life changed forever. Sandra and Lello married in Naples on 18th November 1964 and soon returned to England and made their home in Macclesfield. Over the next 10 years, Jackie, Simon and Alex were born. Family life was the most important thing to Sandra and Lello and the children have many fond memories of family holidays, Christmases and birthdays. In 1975 the family moved to Sandra’s dream home in Bosley, “Rose Cottage” which she held dear in her heart and which also holds many happy memories for the family. A couple of years later Sandra and Lello took over the Boars Leigh and that is where many of you here first met Sandra. As the children got older, along came the grandchildren, Rebekkah, Sophie, Raffie and Daniel whom Sandra doted on and enjoyed so many happy times with. Sandra had a fantastic eye for detail and for making that special occasion even more special and memorable. Nothing was ever too much trouble and over the years many customers became friends. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a true friend to many people. She touched many peoples lives and has affected them through her love kindness and understanding. She may not be here today but she is in the memories of each of the lives she touched.
